KEY RESOURCES TO CHOOSE A DISABILITY PLAN
Our short and long-term disability plans are designed to protect your paycheck if you are sick or disabled and cannot work. If you are enrolled in our short-term disability (STD) plan, just "keeping what you have" may cost you money you do not need to spend!
As you probably know by now, the STD plan does not pay anything until you have used up all your sick leave. (You can check your sick leave balance by signing into Employee Self Serve, or on-screen as you enroll in benefits.)
EVERYONE should make sure that the "wait period" selected for your STD insurance aligns with your sick leave balance closely and/or takes into account our district benefit of 3 weeks of paid maternity leave. Click below to learn more!
